[Spoilers for Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice]

I love Apollo and Trucy's dynamic in the game. In my AU, they work together in Apollo's agency. Trucy helps her brother during his investigations. Nonetheless, as Gramarye, Trucy and Apollo perform in cabarets as magicians. They're famous, perhaps more so than for their detective's work.

They were brought up together by their mother, Thalassa Gramarye. The three of them were living happily, until their mother mysteriously disappeared. They were adopted by a kind man named Phoenix Wright. Apollo kept his father's name (Justice) while Trucy took Phoenix's surname. They grew up surrounded by investigations and mysterious cases. Apollo never accepted that his mother disappeared and decided to become a private detective to investigate on his mother's disappearance. All they have left from Thalassa, are her two bracelets, one for each of them. They soon discover that the bracelets have peculiar powers.

They have a cat named Francis. Francis loves to take part into the investigations and is a very talented magician assistant. [Francis is an orignal character created by me]

Shout out to Ace Attorney and all of its angsty, dramatic, complicated, incest and pseudoincest ships!

Care for a technically adoptive (depending on which canon and how you look at it) double tsundere emotionally repressed brosis duo with an incredibly complicated (like, "turns out you didn't actually kill your dad, my dad was the real murderer") family history? Here's Miles Edgeworth and Franziska von Karma. They come with emotional growth based around examining concepts like "real justice" and "the search for perfection and why it's actually unhealthy" and also with a whip, which she uses on pretty much everyone she meets but he's the only one who both can handle it and doesn't really mind it...

Feel like tragic femslash? The Fey family is what you need! Here's Morgan, who was set up to become the leader of a whole village of spirit mediums, and Misty, her younger sister who accidentally stole that position by virtue of having been born with greater powers but then made a very public mistake that she felt brought dishonor on the whole family and ran away in shame, leaving Morgan to stew in bitterness and in plans to get her own offspring to usurp the title of Master of the village from Misty's. And here's their respective sets of daughters, too! On one side, aeriously messed-up twins Iris and Dahlia, who were taken away from Morgan by her ex-husband in the divorce and took very different paths in life, with cold-blooded Dahlia commiting one crime after another and sweet Iris becoming a nun in a temple, but who are nonetheless united by some strange codependent relationship where Iris will do just about anything for Dahlia, including being complicit in her cruel plans and even pretending to be Dahlia herself to fulfill them. And on the other side, Misty's daughters, Mia and Maya, with cool and confident Mia leaving the village to find the truth about the incident Misty was involved in and rehabilitate her name, but becoming the victim of a brutal murder when she came too close to unveiling certain important secrets, and seemingly innocent and childish but actually full of uncertainty and self-worth issues Maya, set to become the Master of the village after her dearly beloved older sister's death but always quietly comparing herself unfavorably to Mia in personality, skills and power... and capable of channeling Mia's spirit inside her own body, but unable to communicate with her in that time or even clearly remember said experiences, just to add salt to the wound.

Just want something more usual, like problematic brothers? Here's Kristoph Gavin, impeccable and courteous defense attorney actually hiding his own slew of deceit and murders, succeded or merely attempted, and his equally handsome younger brother Klavier, both a prosecutor and an actual rockstar, who wholly trusted and looked up to Kristoph... until he came face to face with the fact he'd been used as just another witless pawn in Kristophs' plans.

I can confirm that fanfictions, darker or lighter, with the incest implied or explicit, exist about every ship I've listed here. You may find a few antis complaining about them, especially Miles/Franziska or Gavincest, on Tumblr... but on AO3? It's a goldmine of gorgeous works!

Ace Attorney anon: just realized I somehow completely forgot about Apollo/Trucy!!! I think many shippers fell out of love with it after the reveal about them being half-siblings... but many others held on to the ship or even started shipping harder! They each have complicated, angsty family histories. Their mother won't tell them she's their mother (at least at the point the games left off) because she's been through all kinds of dramatic emotional upsets, including losing her eyesight and memory for a long time, so she doesn't feel ready to face the truth and see if they can be a family yet. They ave similar quirks/powers but apparently very different personalities, at least at first glance. They're both convinced they have to pretend they're fine, in their own individual ways, even when they aren't. They're technically-coworkers with chemistry even other characters point out in-universe. Her adoptive father is the only person besides their mom who knows the truth, but keeps the secret as its not his to reveal, while HIS adoptive father figure says she would be a good wife for him! And she seems quite amused by the idea, calling him "dad" in return like she's already preparing to be his daughter-in-law! In short, what's not to love?
